BSc Cyber Security

A CCMAS-aligned degree covering cyber strategy, digital forensics, ethical hacking, cloud security, and enterprise governance — with laboratory work, SIWES placements, and a final-year project.

Four-year progression

The curriculum is organised by level and semester under NUC CCMAS. Each year builds on the last toward advanced practice and the final-year project.

Foundations

Core mathematics, statistics, physics, and introductory computing — plus first exposure to cyber security fundamentals and information systems.

Cyber security core

Cyber strategy, cybercrime law, digital logic, programming, and SIWES I — building defensive and analytical skills.

Entry pathways & handbook

The curriculum follows NUC CCMAS and the departmental student handbook. Students complete core and GST courses, two SIWES placements, and a two-semester final-year project.

  • JAMB UTME — five O'Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics (or equivalent science subject)
  • Direct Entry — A'Level, NCE, ND, or HND in relevant fields; minimum 90 credit units for graduation
  • Transfer or special admission subject to Senate approval

Academic policies

  • Students must pass all core (C), faculty, and GST courses and complete both SIWES placements.
  • Minimum graduation load: 120 credit units (UTME) or 90 credit units (Direct Entry), with CGPA ≥ 1.00.
