SLUK Terrestrial Radio Propagation Repository
Problem: West Africa lacked an open repository for 5G radio propagation research.
Solution: National open data repository at www.slurepo.com.ng.

DDoS Attack Detection for Software Defined IoT
Problem: SD-IoT networks require robust DDoS detection mechanisms.
Solution: Research into detection frameworks for software-defined internet of things.

Automated Fish Pond Monitoring System
Problem: Aquaculture efficiency requires continuous water quality monitoring.

Looking ahead
A landmark year — and a platform for the future
2025 was a breakthrough accreditation year — Cyber Security, Software Engineering, and Information Technology all achieved full NUC status. Combined with 94 Computer Science graduates, 20 publications, intensive laboratory training, and a heartfelt send-forth for Dr. Bashir Baba, FCIT reaffirmed its place as a rising centre of computing excellence.
With all four undergraduate programmes fully accredited and postgraduate offerings established, FCIT is positioned to expand into AI, Information Systems, Telecoms, and Informatics & Data Science in the years ahead.
