Welcome to Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa

Sule Lamido University (SLU) Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State, was established on May 13, 2013, by the Jigawa State Government. Originally named Jigawa State University, it received its operational license from the National Universities Commission (NUC) in July 2013. Academic activities fully commenced in September 2014. The university was conceived to provide more access to higher education for indigenes of Jigawa State and to produce highly skilled, entrepreneurial graduates.

The University is located at 2KM along the Jahun-Kano Road in Kafin Hausa, a local government area within Jigawa State, Nigeria. Positioned in the northern region of the country, the campus sits at the geographic coordinates of approximately 11°58'56"N latitude and 8°29'48"E longitude. This location positions the state-owned institution as a central academic hub for students within the state and students from other neighboring states.
