Brief bio
Mohammed Mamun Usman obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Sociology from Bayero University, Kano, and subsequently earned a PhD in Sociology from Lancaster University, England. He is currently the Acting Head of the Department of Sociology at Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, Nigeria. His research interests include youth crime and digital spaces, criminal justice and social policy, youth and community development, and social innovation. His work focuses particularly on the relationships between social inequality and offending behaviour, while promoting practical and innovative approaches to youth empowerment and sustainable community development.
